Nhân dân bản địa Sunrise Lễ
The Indigenous Peoples Sunrise Ceremonies are annual events held on Alcatraz Island to honor the Indigenous Peoples of America and to promote their rights. Held annually since 1975, the Alcatraz ceremonies commemorate the protest event of 1969 where the Alcatraz-Red Power Movement (ARPM) occupied the Island.
Tickets for the Sunrise Gathering are extremely limited and usually sell out. Please keep checking our website for further updates. This is not the standard Alcatraz Island tour and all areas, with the exception of where the ceremony takes place, will be closed and inaccessible to the general public. All participants in the Gathering must return to Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing upon conclusion of the ceremony.
A limited number of walk-up tickets will be available for purchase the morning of the event but we strongly recommend arriving at our tour location well in advance if you wait to purchase same-day. Parking will be a challenge so we strongly encourage allowance for longer travel time. We encourage guests to purchase tickets on the website in advance once they are available.
