San Francisco City Streetcars
The Municipal Railway’s (MUNI) "F - Market Street & Wharves" streetcar line runs along The Embarcadero and provides the most direct service to Hornblower Alcatraz Landing. Get off at the “Bay Street” station, across from Pier 35 at the corner of Embarcadero and Bay Streets. The Hornblower Alcatraz Landing at Pier 33 is one block south.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Trains
All BART trains (with the exception of the Richmond-Fremont Line) provide service to San Francisco. Trains stop at the Embarcadero Station next to the Ferry Building where passengers can transfer to the MUNI’s F streetcar line or private transit service. Be sure to get a "BART to MUNI" transfer, which is good for a $.25 discount when boarding MUNI.
