Customer Service Advisory affecting your visit to Alcatraz Island
San Francisco is celebrating "Sunday Streets", a community festival, on August 31, 2008 and September 14, 2008. The Embarcadero, the street that fronts Pier 33, will be closed to northbound traffic from 8 am to 1 pm on both dates. We anticipate significant delays in travel times to Pier 33 due to this street closure. Please plan additional travel time of one hour to arrive at Pier 33 for your scheduled Alcatraz tour.
Alcatraz Cruises does not refund for missed departures. Because of the length of time the Embarcadero will be closed and the impact of the closure on our business, Alcatraz Cruises does not anticipate being able to put visitors who have missed their scheduled departures on later tours on either day. Alcatraz Cruises regrets any inconvenience this street closure may cause.
