A. On-line. The easiest and quickest way is to book through our ticketing service on the left side of this page, or by simply clicking on the "Buy Tickets" bar to the right.
In-Person. You can purchase tickets in person by visiting the Hornblower Alcatraz Landing ticket office at Pier 33, The Embarcadero.
Telephone. Phone reservations can be made by calling our ticketing center at 415-981-ROCK (415-981-7625).
Q. Where can I get the cheapest Alcatraz tickets?
A. Right here at Alcatraz Cruises(TM). We are the authorized concessioner of the National Park Service and do not add any additional service or handling charges to the base ticket price.
Q. How far in advance should I reserve my tickets?
A. As far ahead as possible, up to 90 days. Alcatraz Island is one of San Francisco's most popular attractions and tours frequently sell out a week or more in advance. Tickets are rarely available for same-day sailings. Please select a date in the green area to the left to make your on-line Alcatraz reservations or call 415-981-ROCK (415-981-7625).

A. Currently, to purchase tickets for others please contact our Customer Service Call Center at 415-981-ROCK (415.981.7625, for International callers: 00.1.415.981.7625) during the hours of 08:00–19:00 Pacific Standard Time (USA) and we will be happy to manually process your order for you.
Q. I want to book dates that are not available. What do I do?
A. If the date you are interested in is within the next 90 days, the only reason it would not be available is if the island is closed. The island is closed on Christmas and New Year's Day. The Night Tour does not operate on the following evenings: New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Q. Can I use the Go San Francisco Card or City Pass to visit Alcatraz?
A. Alcatraz Cruises is pleased to offer Go San Francisco Card and CityPass. Go San Francisco Card and CityPass are not available for purchase on the website, but can be purchased at the Alcatraz Cruises ticket booth, located at Pier 33, in San Francisco, or by phone at (415) 981-ROCK (7625). A Go San Francisco Card or CityPass purchased through Alcatraz Cruises includes an Alcatraz Island tour, subject to availability. A Go San Francisco Card or CityPass purchased at any other location does not include the Alcatraz Island tour option. A Go San Francisco Card or CityPass with the Alcatraz Island tour option is for the day tour only. Alcatraz evening tours are not included in either the Go San Francisco Card or CityPass program. Alcatraz tours can sell out several days in advance. Advance reservations are strongly recommended.
Q. Do you offer any discounts for tickets to Alcatraz?
A. A discount off of the Adult Ticket price is offered for Child, Junior and Senior Tickets. In addition, a Family Ticket is offered that includes two Adult Tickets and two Child Tickets at a reduced rate. The Family Ticket is available by phone and at the Ticket Booth, but is not available for purchase on this website.
